The Los Naranjos Hotel is a family oriented hotel. With amenities such as tv, internet, thermal pools, gymnasiums, full dining room, the hotel is busy on the weekend and especially during the summer season of South America.

The Accommodations in Salto, Uruguay
Los Gauchos has contracts with 2 resort like hotels in Salto, Uruguay. Both of these hotels have access to the famous thermal hot springs. This is a nice place to visit after a long day of the highly active dorado fishing. Rooms are well equiped with televisions, wifi access and double occupancy. You may always request a single room - however, you will see an extra fee on the Los Gauchos fishing statement.
Meals are provided at both resorts and the grounds are set away from the city of Salto -so nice areas to walk, swim, and enjoy Uruguay.

Dorado Fishing Trip
The Golden dorado fishing trip takes place with the arrival into Montevideo, Uruguay. Los Gauchos recommends American Airlines direct flight out of Miami. This flight departs Miami at 11 PM in the evening and is currently the only direct flight from the USA to Uruguay.
You will arrive in Montevideo about 9 AM and our host will meet you right at the airport. You will then take a short flight to Salto, Uruguay. This is a new service provided by the company that transports thousands of people from Buenos Aires to Uruguay each day by boat. They are now offering passengers a flight from Montevideo to Salto.
Once you arrive in Salto, the fishing group will be transferred to the Hotel, which is a resort like setting. Do not miss the hot thermal springs!
You will fish the next day with access to the boat dock about 15 minutes from the Salto hotel. Fishing equipment is provided. But please remember any broken or pieces or lost rods will incur a fee. If you plan on fly-fishing you will need to bring your favorite flies and fly-fishing rods.
The next part of the Golden dorado fishing trip is to experience some of the best dove hunting in Uruguay. You will transfer to the Uruguay dove hunting lodge in Mercedes. Here you will shoot doves for one to 2 days while enjoying high volume shooting and luxury accommodations set in an estancia that is one of the best in South America.
The day of departure you will be transferred by van / car to Montevideo for the trip back to the U.S.
This is a great way to experience Uruguay and the best of fishing in Uruguay and wingshooting in Uruguay.
